Make BIG MAC TACOS Safe for Most Allergies

Enjoy this allergy-friendly version of the famous Big Mac Tacos! These can easily be adapted to be top 9 allergen free! The version I made contained egg (Hellman’s mayo) and wheat tortillas. With simple swaps though you can make these to fit most allergies. We were surprised by how delicious these were. All five of us said they are a winner!

The recipe I modified for our allergies: https://moribyan.com/big-mac-tacos/

Vegan Mayo Recipe you can modify to be mustard free (contains soy): https://jessicainthekitchen.com/vegan-mayonnaise/

For Big Mac Tacos:

12-16 mini flour tortillas: I used “street taco” size (use gluten free if necessary)

2 pounds 80/20 ground beef. I’ll use 88/12 in the future. (You could sub other meat as well)

Salt and pepper to taste

Dill pickle chips (we LOVE Grillo’s Dill)

Shredded iceberg lettuce

Optional: 1/2 c. Of finely diced white onion (optional, but traditionally on a Big Mac)

Optional: American cheese slices if you aren’t allergic to milk or your favorite dairy-free cheese slices. We found this entirely unnecessary though as the sauce is so flavorful.

Everyone’s allergies are different. I show products and recipes that are safe for our allergy-situation, or for informational purposes only. Even though we manage many allergies in our home, we do not call about manufacturing processes in relation to our allergens, except for mustard as an added ingredient. If you have any questions about if a product is safe for you, contact your allergist for individual medical guidance or contact a product manufacturer to find out shared line or shared facility information.
